The short version
- Arisn is a self improvement tool, not medical treatment. Use it as a complement to your own judgment, not a replacement.
- You must be 18 or older to use the app.
- Your data belongs to you. We don't sell it. You can delete it anytime.
- Don't misuse the app or use it to harm others.
- What you post in the Brotherhood is seen by other members and must follow the community rules. We remove content, and accounts, that break them.
- We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll ask you to accept the new version in the app.
1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Arisn app, or by accessing arisn.app, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Arisn.
2. Eligibility
Arisn is intended for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account or use the app. By using Arisn, you confirm that you meet this requirement. We do not knowingly allow users under 18.
3. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@arisn.app.
- You may only create one account per person.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Arisn for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app.
- Interfere with or disrupt the app's servers or infrastructure.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data.
- Use the app in any way that could harm, deceive, or mislead others.
- Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the app or website without written permission.
5. The Brotherhood (community rules)
The Brotherhood is a community feed inside Arisn, open to Arisn Premium members and to members who reach a streak milestone set in the app. It only works if every member can be honest without being judged. Frank talk about urges, struggles and resets is welcome. The following are not allowed, and we have zero tolerance for them:
- Sexually explicit content, or links or directions to explicit material.
- Harassment, bullying, shaming, hate speech, or threats against anyone.
- Encouraging or glorifying self harm or suicide.
- Sharing anyone's personal or identifying information (doxxing), or impersonating someone.
- Spam, advertising, selling, or soliciting.
- Anything illegal, or anything that infringes someone else's rights.
Moderation
- We review Brotherhood content ourselves. A post or comment reported by three different members is hidden automatically until we look at it.
- Every post and comment can be reported, and any member can be blocked so you no longer see their content. We review reports and act on them within 24 hours.
- We may remove any content that breaks these rules, with or without notice. Members who break the rules repeatedly may have their Brotherhood access restricted or permanently removed, and we may not tell them first.
- If you think we removed your content or restricted your account by mistake, email support@arisn.app and a person will review it.
Not a crisis service
Members are peers, not professionals, and we do not monitor the feed in real time. If you or someone you read about is in danger, contact local emergency services or a helpline straight away (see section 7).
6. Your content
All content you create in Arisn (journal entries, quiz answers, streak data) belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of your personal content.
By using Arisn, you grant us a limited licence to store and process your content solely to provide the app's features to you. We do not use your content for advertising or sell it. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Brotherhood posts. When you post or comment in the Brotherhood, you also grant us a worldwide, non exclusive, royalty free licence to host it, show it to other members, and review it for moderation, for as long as it stays posted. You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it. The licence ends when you delete the post or your account.
You can export your journal as a Markdown file at any time from the Profile tab. You can delete all your content and account from Profile → Delete account & data, or by contacting support@arisn.app.
7. Not medical advice
Arisn is a self improvement and habit tracking tool. It is not a medical device, clinical service, or mental health treatment, and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical or psychological condition.
The information and content in Arisn (including the benefits timeline, daily messages, and journal prompts) reflect common experiences shared by many users and should not be taken as medical or clinical claims. Individual results vary.
If you are struggling with compulsive behaviour, mental health, or any medical condition, please speak with a qualified healthcare professional or contact a mental health helpline in your country. In India, you can reach the KIRAN mental health helpline at 1800-599-0019 (free, 24/7).
8. Subscriptions and payments
Arisn is free to start, and the core journey does not require payment. Arisn Premium is an optional paid upgrade, offered as an auto renewing subscription or as a one time purchase:
- Arisn Premium Monthly: auto renewing subscription, one month period, US$4.99 per month (₹399 in India).
- Arisn Premium Yearly: auto renewing subscription, one year period. New subscribers pay an introductory price of US$24.99 for the first year (₹1,499 in India), after which it renews at US$49.99 per year (₹2,499 in India).
- Arisn Premium Lifetime: a single one time purchase. The launch price is US$39.99 (standard price US$69.99; ₹4,999 in India). This is not a subscription. It does not renew and carries no recurring charge.
Premium unlocks features such as The Mirror, guided talk downs during an urge, custom daily goals, the full article library, and access to the Brotherhood. The exact features included are shown in the app before you buy.
Prices are charged in your local currency and may vary by region and over time. The exact price and billing period are always shown by the App Store or Google Play before you confirm a purchase, and that displayed price governs.
How auto renewing subscriptions work
These terms apply to every Arisn Premium subscription, whether you bought it on the App Store or on Google Play:
- Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase: your Apple Account (Apple ID) on iOS, or your Google account on Android.
- Your subscription renews automatically for the same period, at the regular price listed above for your plan (after any introductory price ends), unless you turn off auto renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep Premium access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Where an introductory offer or free trial is provided, any unused portion of it is forfeited if you purchase a subscription before that offer ends.
Managing and cancelling
- iOS: Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions, or the Subscriptions section of the App Store app.
- Android: Google Play → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions.
Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. You must cancel through the store that billed you, and you must do it before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.
Refunds
All payments are processed by Apple or Google. We never receive or store your card details and cannot charge you directly, so refunds are handled by the store under its own refund policy: on iOS through reportaproblem.apple.com, and on Android through Google Play. If a store declines a refund and you believe that was wrong, email support@arisn.app and we will help wherever the store gives us the ability to.
9. Intellectual property
The Arisn name, logo, app design, copy, and all other non user content are owned by Arisn and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
Arisn is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error free, or free from harmful components. We make no guarantee that using Arisn will produce any specific outcome for you.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Arisn and its founder shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or personal harm arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the app shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or ₹500, whichever is greater, if you have not paid).
12. Termination
You may stop using Arisn at any time and delete your account from within the app. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, with or without notice. This includes restricting or removing your Brotherhood access for breaking the community rules in section 5.
Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately. Sections covering intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability survive termination.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app evolves: for example, when we change pricing or add new features. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and ask you to review and accept the new version in the app before you continue using it.
